[Fall/Winter 2010, Chalk Pastels]

I never liked master copies. More than that, I never liked drawing the human body. I really loved the both this semester and I'm glad because I now officially appreciate John Singer Sargent more than I thought I ever would. I also appreciate the human figure much, much more than before. This is a copy of the sketch of Atlas and the Hesperides.

Oh have I mentioned that I am feverishly in love with pastels? Because I can't get enough.
[Fall 2010, Watercolor (some include ballpoint pen)]

I was reminded how much I love watercolor because of Drawing II. I also got back into acrylics and pastel work too. I feel comforted when a teacher/professor tells me that when I draw/paint, I do so like a sculptor.

It may take me a while to get this going, but I wanted to get started anyway. I mainly started this blog to keep records of work that I've made but also keeping progress on research done for some new long term projects I am working on.
